A great place for lunch on a sunny afternoon! Rustic furniture and tables compliment the overall feel of this place, and the fact that pretty much every single item on the menu is handmade is reflected all around. I had the steak burrito suizo and I have to say it was one of the best burritos I've ever had. Juicy steak and fresh lettuce (that was still crispy) were the highlights and I was happy to see there weren't giant folds of shell at the ends. Steak in every bite! To top it off, their homemade hot sauce which I actually (and probably foolishly) ate a big spoonful of was delicious! Will definitely be coming back for a high-class meal!

We had dinner here tonight. We waited fifteen minutes before a hostess even noticed we were there then it took at least twenty minutes for a waitress to ask if we were ready to order once we were seated. They weren’t even that busy! And when we got our food it looked fine, but as I started to examine my two year olds food there was a huge piece of cartilage in her pork tacos! Imagine if I wouldn’t have examined her food and she would’ve choked on that! We also thought the food was overpriced. It’s safe to say my family won’t be back!

Good food...not the best in town. Went on a slow night and took a little longer than expected to get booster seats and someone to take out order.

Awesome food, great atmosphere! This is truly authentic food, not the usual crap you get in central Illinois. Try the tacos, they are amazing, and make sure to try the Margherita.

We were the only family on sat at 5pm. Took forever to get service. Their grande margaritas were very small and not at all as pictured. Every single thing we ordered wasn’t very good at all. We had to get up and get our waitress (who was on the phone the whole time at the bar) just to get the check. She never checked with us the whole meal. The absolute worst Mexican dining experience I’ve had from A-Z.

Awesome place with fresh food. Burritos are phenomenal. I had steak and my wife had shrimp. The tortillas were pan fried and thin. Served with salad which was excellent. We ate on the covered patio and the weather was perfect.

It's a worst Mexican dish I ever tasted. Tacos are too dry and tasteless. Steak is too hard to eat even chicken hard. My husband has stomach upset after eat chicken.

Looking at the positive reviews for this place I am utterly baffled. I came in for lunch early on a Saturday. There was one server. I sat for 15 minutes before she even took a drink order or food order. I ordered the chorizo burrito. The burrito came out and it was the blandest and most flavorless thing I've ever eaten. Chorizo generally has a ridiculous amount of flavor, but somehow they found bland chorizo. It was served with a bizarre "salad" that consisted of a few tiny pieces of lettuce, a drizzle of thousand island dressing, and an orange wedge. I was so hungry I forced down a third of the burrito, but I was done after that. The bill was $10.55. I paid with a 20 and a server brought me $6 and a weird pile of change equaling about another 1.80. then when I ask for receipt she scrambled to find more money. I will NEVER come back here. Simply awful.

Decent quality, but small portions for the price.

A few of my friends and I went here to eat and it took them forever to even get us waters. We then ordered our food and that took about 20-30 minutes just to get the food. Then we had to physically ask for our checks and once they brought the checks we gave them our form of payment and they took about 15-20 minutes to come back to give us our cards back. They never once checked on us to see if the food was okay, if we needed anymore water etc. The portions are extremely small also. I would not recommend eating there— alone for my one meal was $15.00

Ridiculously overpriced and very small portions. 3 tacos for $10.00 and they were street tacos and not at all good. There was no rice or beans served with them and they were bland and had dry meat. Probably the worst Mexican I have ever had.

I got the steak burrito. It was one of the most bland burritos i have ever eaten. I didn't even want to finish it because it didnt taste like a burrito. It tasted like grease and watery sour cream with chunks of plain steak. I've been trying out burritos in the area to find my favorite. Would NOT recommend.

The food and the atmosphere are fabulous. We were seated quickly and our server was cheerful and kind. I got the fish tacos and they were hands down the best I have ever eaten... anywhere. The prices and incredibly affordable.

My husband and our 2 year old visited the restaurant on a Saturday for lunch. We ordered the guacamole for an appetizer and it was delicious. I had the 2 taco lunch special and my husband had the La Mexicans. Everything was so good and super hot when it came out of the kitchen. The staff was very friendly, I could tell our waiter was learning so it did take a minute when it came to questions being answered. All over we had a good experience and will be returning again.

Stupid good food. Chef makes authentic Mexican food that’ll make you question most well known “Mexican restaurants” in the area. Drove an hour one way, definitely would drive longer to get this quality food. Guacamole was made fresh too...so many good things to say about this place. Just go!

One of my favorite places, owners are so friendly and welcoming to make you feel right at home and you can tell they care about what they serve. Food is properly executed and sauces are full of depth and flavor.

The food is below average Mexican and the workers are very rude. Wait time is forever and food is extremely over priced. None of the workers wear masks or gloves while making the food, yet require that all door dash delivery drivers have their hot bag present with them for “the safety of the customer”. If you want contaminated Mexican food this place might be a good fit for you. However, if you are looking for authentic Mexican food in Peoria, that is cooked in a clean environment with friendly service.....Los Cabos Cantina and Grill and Jalapeños are excellent!!

Not good. The quality isn't consistent with the prices, at all. In fact, it's pretty insulting. I ordered delivery and what showed up was.. not good. Grease hardens as it dries over time. Did you think we weren't going to notice that??
